Hey all! So when reviewing something, I like to spend a lot of time testing it out, and this was no different. I bought this Tarina Tarantino Fleur de Lash mascara when it was on a sale when Tarina Tarantino announced they were leaving Sephora.
Let’s just start with the packaging…beautiful! I felt so giddy and excited when I first opened this mascara because it just seemed to cute and luxurious. The brush is natural bristles, and quite large. I even took a picture comparing it to my eye. I feel that I have average-sized eyes, so hopefully that helps.
I found this very difficult to maneuver for my lashes. I felt like the brush was just a tad to big to really help me use the mascara formula in the best way.
I have been using this mascara for a few months, which means that I have allowed for the ever-present suggestion to let the mascara dry out. It started out very thin and kind of wet. It wasn’t too wet. Now, I was very disappointed with this mascara….even more so since it is a higher-end product. This gave me practically no volume and almost no length. It basically darkened my lashes. This mascara could have probably given me natural, fluttery lashes if the brush was just a tad smaller.
Even though the formula has thickened some over the course of using it, there is still not much to say for the volume provided.
Just as a background, I have decently medium to long lashes that are invisible without mascara. They are also thin.
This mascara is available on the Tarina Tarantino website.
