Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation Review

Hey all!  This review has been A LONG time coming…so here it goes!

I didn’t buy this foundation right away when everyone was all hyped up about it upon its release.  I patiently (and impatiently) waited for a good sale and rewards points through ULTA.  However, when I finally purchased it, I was quite excited.  I thought that for sure this foundation would work for me because of all the reviews I had watched of those with similar skin types.

It is true that the consistency is that like pudding, and it did have somewhat of a smell…but nothing as strong as the paint-like smell of the regular liquid Revlon Colorstay Foundation.

I have tried this foundation every way imaginable…with or without primers, applied with a brush, fingers, Beauty Blender, topped with different powders, different cycles of my skin, different weather conditions….seriously everything.  This is why I feel that my review is finally ready.

I do not like this foundation.  There I said it.  Now try not to hate me because I differ from the others who love this.

This never looked good on my skin, except once when I would use it with the Too Faced Primed & Poreless Primer that made me breakout….so it wasn’t worth it.  And on top of that, it would transfer quite a bit when worn with a primer.  After applied, this looked like some terrible foundation on my skin, not just a “Hey she has nice perfected skin so it must be foundation”-sort of way.   It looked bad.  The coverage was not good, and I have compared this to my regular Revlon Colorstay in both formulas, CoverGirl 3-in-1 Foundation, and some others which ALL cover most of my acne and acne scars.

Like mentioned earlier, when worn with a primer, this actually transferred more than if I wore it alone, which is something I have found with my other Revlon Colorstay foundations.  However, even though it lasted a good while, I don’t want to look terrible for that long…get my point? Lol

Anyway, I don’t recommend this foundation, but if you would like to check it out, click here.  Now would be a great time to try it as ULTA is offering it for 40% off until April 19th.
